ForeCash Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ForeCash ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website fore-cash.io and the web application at app.fore-cash.io. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Email address (for account creation and waitlist)
• Account names and financial account information you manually enter
• Transaction names, amounts, and dates you add to the app

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data via Vercel Analytics (anonymous, no personal identifiers)
• Browser type and device information
• IP address (not stored long-term)

Information from third parties (Pro and Family plans):

• Bank account balances and transaction data via Plaid (when you connect your bank)
• Plaid's own privacy policy governs their data collection

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the ForeCash forecasting service
• To send you product updates and waitlist notifications (you can unsubscribe anytime)
• To respond to support requests
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. We implement row-level security meaning your financial data is only accessible by your authenticated account. We never sell your data. We never show you ads. Your financial information is never used for marketing purposes.

5. Bank Connection Data (Plaid)

When you connect a bank account on Pro or Family plans, we use Plaid Technologies, Inc. to facilitate the connection. Plaid's privacy policy is available at plaid.com/legal. We store your account balances and sync timestamps. We do not store your bank login credentials — these are handled entirely by Plaid.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@fore-cash.io.

7. Cookies

ForeCash uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication (Supabase session tokens). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

ForeCash is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at hello@fore-cash.io.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data
• Opt out of marketing communications
